STAMP aims to connect first-year Bachelor of Science students at TRU to their more experienced peers. The transition to university on campus can be overwhelming, STAMP hopes to develop a sense of community by creating opportunities for first-year student success and socialization on campus. This program facilitates volunteer experience for BSc students in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th year and beyond to inspire and engage with incoming students. Everyone can be a role model, and anyone can offer a friendly face; there is no minimum GPA requirement. There are different ways to participate in STAMP. Science Trajectory Mentors have a declared major and are in 3rd year standing or above. Mentors intend to volunteer on a more consistent basis and can earn a program completion certificate at the end of the year. There are both Junior (2nd year) and Senior (3rd, 4th year +) Science Trajectory Ambassadors. Ambassadors plan to volunteer for at least one activity or event and will receive thank you notes for their participation.
