This
course will provide students with a basic understanding of how to effectively
manage an organization’s operating and fixed assets and provide an optimal mix
of short- and long-term debt and equity financing. Topics include the role of the financial manager
and goals of the firm; financial statement analysis; time value of money; risk
and return; stock and bond valuation; capital budgeting; weighted cost of
capital; and capital structure.
